How to Spend the Day at Reflection Riding: For The Thrill Seeker

The most common question we get at Reflection Riding is, “what should we do while we’re here?” Our team put together some great options for how to make the most of your time on our beautiful campus… depending on what you’re interested in. Occasionally, we get thrill seekers at Reflection Riding and we’re here for it! Here are our top choices for the exhilarating experiences waiting for you on our campus today!

For Thrill Seekers:

Hike from Reflection Riding to Sunset Rock atop Lookout Mountain. We admit it, this is a fairly brutal, but really satisfying five-mile round trip, straight up and then straight down the mountain. In the summer, it can be breathtakingly hot; in the winter, bone-chillingly cold and windy. Nonetheless, if you’re looking for a thrill, the workout alone is worth the trip, and the views from the top are just stunning. You’re going to want to prepare for this hike (all the tips here from our friends at Outdoor Chattanooga), grab a paper map from the Welcome Center, and download a map too. PS - you can also ride your mountain bike up and down for an even bigger thrill!

Explore Reflection Riding in a Swincar e-Spider. Our friends at Adventure Sports Innovation offer guided exploration in electrically powered off-road vehicles that provide a unique driving experience. Swincar e-Spiders make almost no sound, run entirely on electricity, and have a very light footprint. With no windshield or enclosed cabin, they're a great way to see the property and experience the outdoors while getting a view of the entire Reflection Riding campus. Book your Swincar adventure today!

Meet our Red Wolves… Up Close! Reflection Riding is one of only a handful of sites across the country where you can meet the critically-endangered American Red Wolf. Keep an ear out for when they all howl in unison; it’s a thrill for sure! Our expert wildlife team would love to introduce you to the Red Wolves, and our other animal ambassadors (snakes and owls and bobcats, oh my). Book your Red Wolf Nature Experience today!
