We’re Making Progress on the Framework!
Thanks to generous community support, our Framework for the Future is underway! Much of the early progress is taking place behind the scenes, (new roofing, wiring, HVAC, surveys, and other boring but important tasks). These initial steps lay a critical foundation for the future transformation of our campus.
We convened a top-notch Architecture Selection Committee that will help identify the perfect architect to work with us and SCAPE on building the inspiring and welcoming nature center Chattanooga deserves.
The Tennessee Historical Commission funded an archeological study of the area that will surround our new conservation center. The study will show us how best to protect and interpret our history for you, our supporters. We’re well underway on other key projects: updates to signage and wayfinding (thanks to our friends at the Chattanooga Tourism Co. and Riverview Foundation), including a mobile guide, a much-requested public form to report problems on campus, and coming soon: solar panels on our Welcome Center. The whole world is starting to notice all the exciting things happening at Reflection Riding; even PBS star Samantha Brown from “Places to Love” stopped by recently!
