Free Tree ReLeaf Puts Native Trees into the Community

Nearly two years ago, Reflection Riding piloted a free native tree giveaway with our partners at the City of Chattanooga. Following the April 2021 tornadoes, we collaborated to rebuild our community’s tree canopy and provide free trees to City residents, especially those in the tornado zone. Over the last year, we dramatically expanded that partnership by working closely with EPB to create Free Tree ReLeaf.

More than 4,000 native trees are now in the ground in your yards and green spaces, building our canopy, providing habitat for other native species, and helping to reduce runoff and control stormwater.

Our staff and volunteers helped community members pick from ten native tree species so they could be sure the trees would be right for their space and thrive in their new homes.
