People come together at Reflection Riding. Throughout the year, our events create meaningful opportunities for families, friends, and neighbors to share music, meals, and time outside. Shared experiences outside matter at every age, creating lasting memories across generations and giving children space to deepen their curiosity, wonder, and connection to nature.
Our joyful Mother’s Day weekend event, Brunch & Blooms, featured live music, a shared meal, and time in the arboretum while raising more than $60,000 in support of our Native Plant Nursery and the Philp Memorial Garden. We are especially grateful to mother-daughter co-chairs Bena DeVaney and Bena Pearson, along with Carla Morgan and McCall DeVaney, whose leadership and care helped make the event possible.
The Campfire Concert Series, presented by Black Creek Chattanooga, filled the lawn with music at the foot of Lookout Mountain, while Follow the Fire invited members to experience the campus after dark through stargazing, owl calls, native plant tea, and time around the fire. These and many other events offered different ways to spend time at Reflection Riding and feel more connected to this place and to one another.
Participation also helps sustain the work behind these experiences. A concert ticket, a seat at Brunch & Blooms, a sponsorship, or a volunteer shift is more than a transaction. It helps care for Reflection Riding, expand access, and create more opportunities for people to connect with nature.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us this year and helped make this shared work possible.
