Kylee Scarbrough
Guest Services Naturalist
Team Member Since 2025
Kylee (she/her) was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainability. She participated in service-based learning, which allowed her to engage in her community while learning about the importance of sustainable practices and grassroots organizations. She was a member of the Appalachian Justice Research Center where she worked with an interdisciplinary team to shed light on the housing crisis in Knoxville, TN, and her coursework generally focused on social justice and the environment. The phrase that she finds best describes her academic background is, “People and Planet.”
Kylee has always loved being outside, whether it was exploring the Smoky Mountains, spending time on the late with her family, or volunteering with organizations like Keep Knoxville Beautiful. She moved to Chattanooga in June of 2025 and started volunteering with invasive species removal at Reflection Riding before joining the team officially as a Guest Services Naturalist. She is especially excited to be able to meet new people and help them connect with nature and each other.
When she’s not at work, you’ll find Kylee spending time with family back in Knoxville, listening to music, hiking, or trying out a new soup recipe. She loves learning about Appalachia, sustainable development, the natural world and our relationship with it.
