Avanna Coleman is a 10th grade student at the Howard School. She is a part of the leadership team, as well as the Legacy Builders program. She found a love for nature at a young age. When she visited Reflection Riding on a field trip, she was amazed her teacher then offered her to sign up for the pre-apprenticeship program at Reflection Riding. She took the chance immediately and was excited.
Being at Reflection Riding has given her the opportunity to embrace who she is in her natural habitat. She loves animals and nature more then ever, and she prefers to be outside instead of inside. She does her best work outdoors because it brings her peace and comfort, which is what she needs to thrive.
Avanna enjoys sleeping, and during her free time, she writes poetry, loves to sing, and plays with her three little cats. She is a very bubbly person and has an outgoing spirit. Avanna loves all things animals and nature.
