Acoustic Nights at Reflection Riding

Just like that—the Fall 2024 Campfire Concert Series is complete. We had a wonderful time all season long and would love to share our highlights with you.

From September to November, we welcomed music of all kinds to our home under the mountain. Johnny Balik opened the season with a blend of pop, R&B, and singer-songwriter. Next, Milele Roots shared cheer with colorful reggae. Then, Funk You enchanted audiences with contemporary funk. Rising Fawn Social Club took us back to our Appalachian roots with melodies of bluegrass, country, and alt-pop. Finally, Randy Steele and the High Cold Wind wrapped the season with an evening of high-energy bluegrass.

We witnessed friends and families come together under the stars for live music, relaxation, and being together in nature. Kids played across the field before settling in with a s’more; in the meantime, their caretakers relaxed with a cold beer from Hutton & Smith. All the while, people of all ages grooved to acoustic nights.

We are deeply appreciative of our sponsors, who filled the season with joy and resolve. Our Reflection Rhythms presenting sponsor was Black Creek Chattanooga, our dear neighbors in Lookout Valley. Next up, our Starlight Serenade sponsors boosted the season: ArtsBuild, Bridge Financial Planning, First Horizon Bank, Bobby Stone Foundation, Tennessee Arts Commission, and Tremont Tavern. Our Twilight Tunes sponsor was McGriff, and finally, our Founding Sponsors are Hutton & Smith and OCI.

Our Campfire Concert Series is a biannual tradition. Justin Hupp, founder of the series and bassist in Randy Steele and the High Cold Wind, describes the venue: “When you come out here, it’s a very simple setting, but it’s beautiful. In settings like Reflection Riding, it’s easy to be peaceful.” What started as an idea in 2018 continues to grow. Justin explains the process: “It was kind of a heart project for me… It’s really exciting to see it continue to be established and for them to include more shows and different acts.”

We look forward to the next spring when our Campfire Concert Series returns! Save the dates for Spring 2025: April 4, April 18, May 2, May 16, and May 30. We’ll see you all then, under the stars!
