Salamander Meander

Come and join us in exploring the slithering and crawling creatures like salamanders, turtles, snakes, and lizards that call the forest floor home. We will also be looking for the short-lived spring ephemerals while they're blooming!

Come and join a Reflection Riding naturalist to seek the slithering and crawling creatures that call the forest floor home. We will explore our 300+ acre campus for our native reptiles and amphibians including turtles, snakes, skinks, lizards, salamanders, toads, frogs, tree frogs, and newts. It's going to be an exciting morning, so come out and join us!

Plus, spring has sprung and Reflection Riding is home to several species of ephemeral wildflowers, so we will also keep our eyes out for these short-lived beauties!

As an outdoor facility, our programs and events are almost always dependent on the weather. In the event of severe weather, programs may be postponed or cancelled.
