Master Gardeners of Hamilton County “Native Plants for Wildlife” Series: Children’s Gardens that Attract Wildlife

Learn how to create a child-friendly garden that immerses kids in nature while attracting fun wildlife!

We’ll discuss how to design a children’s garden that will help them interact with nature. Native plants that will attract bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, songbirds, as well as how to preserve areas attractive to tadpoles, frogs, salamanders, and turtles. Led by Presenter Debbie Bauder, the discussion will follow with a walking tour to see insects, birds, and aquatic creatures interacting with plants.

Debbie is a Master Gardener, class of 2024. She is retired as a nurse practitioner, Peds GI. She loves being outside in her gardens and greenhouse. She and her family welcome birds, hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees in their yard as well along with their chickens and dogs.
