Weed Wrangle® is a one-day, area-wide, volunteer effort to help rescue our public parks and green spaces from non-native invasive species through hands-on removal of especially harmful trees, vines, and flowering plants.
Supervised by an expert in invasive weed management, Weed Wrangle® volunteers learn, practice and begin a habit of maintaining an area free of non-native invasive plants and encourage replanting with natives in removal areas. By engaging our neighbors and challenging them to take action in their own spaces, we hope to create a movement that will have the greatest impact on the invasive plant population.
Join staff from the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park in partnership with Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center for a morning of invasive weed wrangling!

How do you want volunteers to register? No registration needed. Just show up at date and time appointed!
What invasives are you targeting? Chinese privet; bush honeysuckle; bamboo
Anything else you want volunteers to know? Dress accordingly for the weather and to do some hard work! We recommend sturdy, close-toed shoes, durable clothing, long sleeves, and a reusable water bottle. If you have any tools such as loppers or weed wrenches to use and/or lend out, we can always use more! RRANC will provide gloves and have a water-bottle filling station close by.
