We have a wide and fluctuating variety of trees, shrubs, and perennials available, as well as over 100 different species of grasses, sedges, wildflowers, azaleas, hydrangeas and so much more! Reflection Riding has been propagating native plant species for over three decades. A 2018 expansion to the production facility was made possible by a generous donation from the Tennessee Valley Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society. Since then, a dedicated group of volunteers and members of organizations like the Wild Ones and Tennessee Master Gardeners have donated countless hours to help produce a greater volume of plants.
All proceeds benefit the center directly in its ongoing efforts to provide leadership in environmental education including habitat restoration on its own 317-acre property. In recent years, the nonprofit has been focused on invasive plant removal, native meadow restoration and establishing pollinator gardens. Recent research projects have ranged from a yellow-billed cuckoo study by researchers from the Smithsonian Institution to small-scale invasive removal test plots to help determine the best ways to eliminate harmful species.
