Chattanooga Pollinator Festival

After a two year hiatus, the annual Pollinator Festival at Reflection Riding is back and better than ever! Join us Saturday, October 15th from 10 AM - 3 PM for a fun-filled day of exciting activities and educational opportunities to celebrate the power of our local pollinators! Learn more below about the full day of events we have planned for you.

10:00am-3:00pm

  • Blooming Café (Nursery)

    • Pick up a snack that wouldn’t be possible without pollinators.

  • Pollinator Scavenger Hunt (Welcome Center)

    • Pick one up at the Welcome Center and learn about pollinators through play!

  • Build-A-Bee Craft (Nursery)

    • Make yourself a little bee friend!

  • Insect Hotel Assembly (Nursery)

    • Help us make homes for beneficial insects to place in our nursery.

  • Conservation Chat-Armadillos (Nursery)

    • Come meet Carissa Turner and other UTC students to learn about the non-native armadillo and how it impacts local ecology.

  • Gardening with Natives (Nursery)

    • Have questions about gardening? Local landscape designer and garden expert Dennis Bishop will be in the nursery all day dishing out advice!

10:00am-12:00pm & 1:00pm-3:00pm

  • Face Painting (Nursery)

    • Come get your face painted as a butterfly or any other pollinator!

  • “BEE Yourself” Yoga Class (Humphrey’s House)

    • Pollinators remind us that we each play a vital role in sustaining healthy ecosystems! This yoga class invites students to explore and celebrate their unique contributions to a thriving community. Participants MUST sign up in advance using the links below.  (Remember your yoga mat!)

  • Plants and Pollinators Talk (Nursery)

    • Learn about pollinators and their host plants with Master Gardener Ann Brown.  Ann will also be talking about our Pollinator Packs (on sale at the nursery), handy bundles of pollinator-friendly plants that take the guesswork out of attracting native wildlife to your garden.

10:00am & 1:00pm

  • Pollinator Story Time (Dawn Redwood Grove)

    • Bring the little ones for storytime under our gorgeous Dawn Redwood Trees.

11:00am & 1:00pm

  • Behind-the-Scenes Nursery Tour (Nursery)

    • Get a glimpse into the workings of a native plant nursery with our amazing nursery staff!
