American Red Wolf (Canis rufus)
Born: April 28, 2018 Arrival Date: August 30, 2024, from the Red Wolf Center in Columbia, NC
Harry is a very social, curious animal. Named after Harry Potter, he embodies his spirit with a bold demeanor. Harry is not a good candidate for release into the wild due to his confidence around humans, which is ultimately how he came into our care. He is a large wolf with a blocky, distinctive head. As a recent member of our pack, we’re still learning about his personality.
Harry is visible to the public in our Native Animal Exhibit. He can be viewed during our Wild Wonders: A Close Encounter with Native Animals tour every Friday and Saturday. As a confident wolf, he will likely be readily visible.
