Mary Corson

Managing Director

Team member since 2022

Mary (she/her) brings a vibrant mix of professional experience and personal passion for the outdoors to the Reflection Riding team. She is a seasoned nonprofit professional with experience in organizational development and community engagement. While serving as the Campus Operations Manager for an international community development organization, Mary ensured efficient operations across all departments on a 176-acre campus while experiencing rapid growth during her tenure. Her background in managing complex operations and fostering growth within a nonprofit setting equips her with the unique skills necessary to navigate challenges and opportunities during this transformative phase at Reflection Riding.

Mary's journey with Reflection Riding began shortly after moving to St. Elmo, Chattanooga, in 2021, where her engagement with the local environment and curiosity about outdoor access in the Chattanooga region deepened. Her personal experiences, including her children's attendance at Wauhatchie Forest School, have reinforced her belief in the importance of outdoor access and the transformative power of nature. Mary's life is deeply rooted in the outdoors, valuing nature not only as a place of work but as a source of joy and learning for her family. The value outdoor access has added to her life drives her passion for equitable environmental engagement.

Mary's efforts at Reflection Riding are driven by her belief that communities thrive when the people within them have opportunities for meaningful experiences outside. She desires to foster a community that values conservation and equitable access to natural spaces, reflecting her commitment to a healthier, more connected world.
