Hannah Elizabeth

Lead Naturalist, Native Plant Horticulture

Team Member Since 2025

Hannah McLaren’s love for plants started in her own backyard, where she helped her dad grow native plants in his home nursery. That early connection to the natural world grew into a passion for conservation. Hannah earned her B.S. in Environmental Management in Agriculture and Natural Resources from the University of Florida and has since worked in a range of roles focused on land stewardship and plant care.

As a Greenhouse Associate at Signal Mountain Nursery, Hannah enjoyed helping people spark a connection with the natural world through gardening. Her conservation experience includes leading trail crews with the Southeast Conservation Corps, monitoring endangered species as a National Park Service intern, and studying native plants during her time as a research assistant at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Many of these experiences brought her to Reflection Riding long before she joined the team- first as a student, later as a park partner, and more recently as a volunteer. Hannah is now excited to spend her time as Lead Naturalist at Reflection Riding's native plant nursery.

If you can't find Hannah digging in the dirt somewhere, she is most likely at craft night or practicing guitar.
