J (he/him) grew up in Sarasota along the Gulf coast of Florida. He received a Bachelors in Film from UCF Orlando in 2010, then worked in media technology in NYC for the next decade. He relocated to Chattanooga at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, and has since spent as much of his time as possible developing his love and respect for nature through camping excursions, day hikes with his dog Go, and even through his yoga practice.
J has always held the natural world in high regard, from his early days as a Scout to his years stewarding NYC Parks. His belief in the importance of sustainability drives him to participate in the world in ways that support or strengthen this delicate balance we all live in.
J is thrilled to join Reflection Riding as the Welcome Center Garden Steward where he will help shape every visitor’s experience from their first step on this sprawling and majestic wildlife near the heart of Chattanooga. He hopes to inspire visitors to embrace native plant species at their own doorstep, cultivating a society that is evermore harmonious with nature.
