Danielle Pope-White

Lead Wildlife Technician

Team Member Since 2021

Danielle is a Chattanooga native who grew up loving nature, especially animals. She visited Reflection Riding as a young child, which sparked her interest in the outdoors. Because of her own experiences with the Nature Center, the Chattanooga Zoo, and the Tennessee Aquarium, she feels every child should have the opportunity to learn about and enjoy nature.

Danielle majored in environmental science with a concentration in biology at UTC. After graduation, she began volunteering in animal husbandry at the Tennessee Aquarium and eventually worked her way up to becoming a full-time educator. While working as an educator, she led public educational programs and acted as summer camp director. She is also an enthusiastic, unofficial herpetologist with an unnatural appreciation for snakes. Danielle began working at Reflection Riding in 2021 where she cares for and trains our Animal Ambassadors.

When Danielle is not working, you can find her lost in the woods with her dogs, Hank and Georgia.
