American Crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos)
Born: estimated April 6, 2016 (exact date is unknown) Arrival Date: June 1, 2017, from Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network in Goleta, CA
Oli is an extremely intelligent animal. He entered our care due to partial blindness in both eyes from cataracts. As an American Crow, Oli is a great problem-solver; in fact, we often wonder who is training who. When Oli traveled to our facility, there was not a direct flight from California to Chattanooga. He found himself sent to Texas, instead. A kind pilot named James Howard volunteered his time to pick up Oli and complete the journey to us.
Oli is a retired Animal Ambassador. He used to be a program animal but now enjoys his retirement years in the care of our wildlife team.
