Artemis is a very shy wolf. Similarly to Juniper, the last facility where she was housed was closed to the public, so she is not comfortable with human activity. To date, Artemis is one of the largest wolves that Taylor Berry, our Wildlife Curator, has ever worked with. While most adult Red Wolves range in weight from 45 to 80 pounds, Artemis weighs around 75 pounds.
Artemis is visible to the public in our Native Animal Exhibit. She can be viewed during our Wild Wonders: A Close Encounter with Native Animals tour every Friday and Saturday. Although she will not be extremely visible, Artemis may poke her head out during the tour.
