Conservation Chat: Armadillos

Come learn about the mammal that is moving through Tennessee.

What are nine-banded armadillos? Come learn about this mammal that is moving through Tennessee! Carissa Turner is researching how the climate has impacted armadillo range expansion, and will be talking about her work. She will discuss where they came from, why they are entering Tennessee, the pros and cons of having them in your yard, and what you can do to help study this new inhabitant.

As an outdoor facility, our programs and events are almost always dependent on the weather. Don't forget to dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring along anything else you might need to enjoy time outdoors in this season. In the event of severe weather, programs may have to be cancelled.
