Are you a bird enthusiast who wants to learn more about the birds in the Chattanooga area? Join us on Saturday, November 16th to see how bird banding is done and learn about birds and how you can protect them.

Dr. David Aborn is a Master Bird Banding Permit holder who has handled and banded over 10,000 birds ranging in size from hummingbirds to hawks. His research has covered a variety of topics, but he is most interested in migration and the effects of urbanization on bird populations.

As an outdoor facility, our programs and events are almost always dependent on the weather. In the event of severe weather, programs may be postponed or cancelled.
