Native Azaleas with the American Rhododendron Society

Join the American Rhododendron Society to learn about preserving Appalachian balds and their native azaleas with speaker James Brant.

The Tennessee Valley Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society invite you to a discussion about native azalea conservation. Speaker James Brant will share his work in preserving these plants on Hooper’s Bald near Robbinsville, North Carolina. This habitat is a natural grassy bald that hosts many unique, hybridized native azaleas.

Join us at Reflection Riding for an opportunity to learn about this unique ecosystem and its preservation. Members of Reflection Riding and the American Rhododendron Society: Tennesee Valley Chapter are welcome to attend, along with any interested plant friends.

As an outdoor facility, our programs and events are almost always dependent on the weather. In the event of severe weather, programs may be postponed or cancelled.
