The term botanical pertains to plants and botany (the scientific study of plants).  Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center was conceived by the founder's love and appreciation of plant life.  The 317-acre property is home to hundreds of plant species.  Today the organization supports an array of gardens and the Level IV arboretum.  In addition, the miles of hiking trails present multitudes of wildflowers and some exotic species to be enjoyed in the natural state.  Many of our educational programs focus on native plants, removing invasive exotics, gardening with natives, and plant conservation.

We have an  active project on iNaturalist where you can see the observations other visitors and our staff have made on the property. Join in the fun from the iNaturalist app or on the website. Whether you recognize the species or not, you can submit photos or audio files and the community will help identify your observation. Additionally, you'll be sharing data with the larger scientific community that can be used later for research. Please obscure the location of sensitive or endangered species. Anything you capture on our property will be automatically added to our iNaturalist project!

Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul "
