Workshop participants will rediscover their inner child through activities that will inspire the wonder and excitement of exploring and learning in nature. Facilitators Dr. Jiyoun Shin, Associate Professor of Early Childhood at Sahmyook University in Seoul, South Korea and Dr. Jean Lomino, Co-Founder and Director of Wauhatchie School in Chattanooga, will share the results of their research this year concerning the many benefits of FK in the area of character development. Dr. Shin will also present an overview of Forest Kindergarten in South Korea. Dr. Shin and Dr. Lomino hope their research will help to promote the critical need for nature-based early childhood education in the US and around the globe.

Participants should be 16+ and should dress for the weather. Please be prepared to spend time outside!
