Director of Curriculum & Engagement
Team member since 2024
Randi Schlosser (she/her) is a lifelong learner and nature enthusiast who enjoys escaping into the woods and being enchanted by the beauty of the world around her. She believes that the most meaningful learning occurs when people of all ages are immersed in nature with a sense of curiosity, an excitement for exploration, a passion for conservation, and an innate desire to connect with the natural world.
Randi joins Reflection Riding after being in the education world as a classroom teacher and Director of Curriculum & Accreditation at St. Peter's Episcopal School for the last 20 years. In addition to earning a BS degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Randi has completed numerous leadership trainings, including the TAIS/Vanderbilt New and Emerging Leaders Institute. She led numerous SAIS Accreditations for the elementary school she previously worked with and mentored a team of educators while creating and supporting the implementation of curriculum, as well as cultivating a growth mindset within the team. Randi enjoys diving into new learning and has completed a multitude of continued learning experiences focusing on literacy, leadership, and nature. She is always seeking to expand her thinking in new ways. Over the years, she has actively participated in various organizations dedicated to connecting people with nature. This includes serving on the boards of Wauhatchie Forest School and Wild Ones: Chattanooga Chapter, as well as earning Wild Ones Native Plant and Master Gardener certifications. She proudly served on the committee for Reflection Riding’s Framework for the Future and was thrilled to support the organization’s vision of engaging, educating, inspiring, and connecting with future generations of nature enthusiasts. Currently, Randi is working towards earning a Southern Appalachian Naturalist Certification through the Tremont Institute in the Smokies.
Randi discovered the beauty of Reflection Riding and felt a special connection to its land when her son attended the summer camp program over 12 years ago. Since then, she has spent almost every weekend hiking on the RR trails, capturing native plants and lichen on the camera through a zoom lens, escaping into the quiet of the beautiful land that surrounds this special place, and promoting the Trailwise partnership program between her former school community and Reflection Riding. Randi is extremely excited to connect with the community and help cultivate lifelong learners and stewards of the natural world through the many immersive learning opportunities and experiences at Reflection Riding!
