Waiver and Release:
By signing your name below, you agree to the following terms as consideration for being accepted as a volunteer at Reflection Riding:

I acknowledge that there are risks inherent in volunteer work and that I am fully aware of the risks posed by volunteer activities.

I certify that I am physically and mentally able to perform the volunteer opportunities that I decide to accept. I have no medical condition that prevents me from engaging in volunteer opportunities. If I have reservations about any tasks or volunteer work, I will alert staff, ask questions, seek clarification and/or request training.

I release and hold harmless Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center, its employees, successors, assigns and volunteers from any and all claims, costs, suits, actions, judgments or expenses upon any damage, loss or injury to me or to my property which may arise or result from my voluntary participation as a volunteer.

I also authorize the use of my name and photography for education, public relations and marketing purposes related to Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center, whether in print, digitally, or otherwise.

Covid-19 Addition:
Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center does everything it can to protect our volunteers, employees and the public during the Covid-19 pandemic. We follow federal, state and local guidance on how best to reduce the spread of the disease. In order to do that, we require complete compliance with that guidance from not only our staff but also our volunteers.

Examples of the kinds of protocols you will need to comply with are: maintain a distance of six feet from all other people on the property, wear a mask anytime other people are in your field of vision, wear gloves, use your own gear brought from home to avoid touching items others may have touched, respect all closed areas, and access the property only at designated times and at designated areas to complete designated tasks. We will also ask you to complete a health survey and a temperature check at home just before you come to volunteer on-site. If there are any red flags, we cannot allow you back on the property for 14 days.

Our staff will review protocols with you both verbally and in writing before you begin volunteering. By signing below, you agree to comply with all guidance, directives and instructions from Reflection Riding staff at all times.
Minors:
If minors will accompany their parents/guardians as volunteers, parents must complete the second signature section below on behalf of the minor.

The parent/guardian releases and holds harmless Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center, its employees, successors, assigns and volunteers from any and all claims, costs, suits, actions, judgments or expenses upon any damage, loss or injury to me or to my property which may arise or result from my voluntary participation as a volunteer.

Volunteers may volunteer as a family unit on the property. Children may come with their parents, but must comply with all guidelines, including those related to Covid-19, and be under the control of their parents at all times. This means children must wear masks, do physical distancing, complete the health survey and check their temperatures… everything adults would do. If children cannot comply, the entire family unit will be asked to leave the property immediately.
Agreement and Electronic Signature:
In completing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understood this volunteer agreement and that I agree to comply with its terms and ensure that my family unit does so as well.
