Join Michael Green to explore 10,000 years of history from the ancient tribes to the Cisca Trail to the Cherokee, Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center is rich with history. Michael Green is a local historian and former board president at Reflection Riding who has a wealth of knowledge pertaining to the history of the property. Reservation required. Spring is a time for rebirth in nature and there is no better example of this than our Spring Ephemeral Flowers. Join Dr. Richard Clements on a tram tour of the Spring Ephemerals of Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center. Dr. Clements is a Professor at Chattanooga State Community College and is the lead instructor for Environmental Science courses. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Tennessee Technological University, a M.S. in Plant Taxonomy from the University of Tennessee, and a Ph.D. in Plant Ecology from the University of Kentucky. This tour will be wonderful for both plant enthusiasts and people just wanting to enjoy an educational tour of the gardens. Reservation required. Migration is a phenomenon that has fascinated humans for centuries. Beginning in April and going through May, Neotropical Migrants make their way from their over wintering grounds in Central and South America back to their breeding grounds in the Continental United States. Join Dr. David Aborn for a birding tram ride through Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center. Dr. Aborn is an Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the Biology, Geology and Environmental Science Department where he focuses on Ornithology. Make sure to bring your binoculars and field guides to make the most of this wonderful birding experience. Reservation required. If we don’t fill all the seats, walk ups can be added.
