Sign your child up now for our 2017 summer camps! Early registration begins Wednesday, February 1st. You may become a member at the time your register your child for camp.

Treehouse Club Camp
Ages: 5-6 • Dates: June 5th-9th • Time: 9:00 am thru 2:00 pm
Cost: Members $150; Non-Members $180
Treehouse Club campers will explore nature through exciting art projects and nature activities. Each day will begin in the George S. Bryan Discovery Forest Treehouse, followed by activities, crafts, and games with a daily nature theme!

Reflection Riding 2017 Treehouse Club Camp

Wolf Pack Camp
Ages: 7-8 • Dates: June 19th-23rd; July 24th-28th • Time: 9:00 am thru 3:30 pm
Cost: Members $180; Non-Members $210
Wolf Pack campers will help prepare food for the nature center’s animal ambassadors and then watch them eat it, go on a canoe trip, visit the bamboo forest, and wallow in a mud pit. They will spend a day experiencing what it’s like to be a Native American child of long ago. Campers will enjoy five fun-filled days of nature games, activities and crafts.

Junior Naturalist Camp
Ages: 9-10 • Dates: June 26th-30th and July 10th-14th • Time: 9:00 am thru 4:00 pm
Cost: Members $200; Non-members $230
Junior Naturalist campers will experience first hand what it’s like to be a wild animal in an exciting predator/prey simulation game. They will also go canoeing and hike out for a wonderful day at Skyuka Springs. Campers will learn the tools of the trade practiced by great naturalists throughout history. Campers will participate in a full range of activities designed to bring natural history into their lives through science, crafts, live animal demonstrations, and of course, play!

Adventure Camp
Ages: 11-13 • Dates: June 12th-16th
Times: Monday thru Wednesday 9:00 am – 4:30 pm; Thursday 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Friday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (Free optional bike ride 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Thursday)
Cost: Members $230; Non-members $260
Canoe beautiful Lookout Creek, go hiking to the base of the falls at the Lula Lake Land Trust, go on a wild cave tour at Raccoon Mountain Caverns, and discover the world of nocturnal animals! These are just a few of the activities that we have planned for Adventure Camp. We will also have a late night Thursday night. There will be a campfire, fishing, storytelling and a nocturnal predator/prey game.

Counselors in Training
Ages: 14-15 • Cost: Members $50; Non-members $65 • Add $50 for Adventure Camp
These rates apply to each camp the individual signs up for.

Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center’s Counselors in Training program provides leadership opportunities for teenagers to gain experience helping in the day to day operation of the summer camps. Call the summer camp reservation number 423-821-1160 to apply for a CIT position.
Space is limited to 1-3 CIT’s per camp.

TreeFrogs Camp
The TreeFrogs Camp is a joint venture between the Tennessee Aquarium and Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center. Register online for TreeFrog Camp at www.tnaqua.org or by calling 423-785-4176 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Member Registration: Monday, March 6th, beginning at 9:00 am. Non-Member Registration: Monday, March 13th, beginning at 9:00 am.
Ages: 7-8 • Dates: June 5th-9th, June 12th-16th, and July 10th-14th
Times: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. *Monday – Friday campers are dropped off and picked up at the Tennessee Aquarium
Cost: Members $180; Non-members $240
Downtown or down the creek, this Aquarium and Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center’s partnership camp provides fun for water-loving campers with games, hiking, animal encounters, canoeing and Mud Day.

Reflection Riding Arboretum  & Nature Center After Care Options
For the families that cannot pick their children up at the designated time, Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center Summer Camps come with the option of after care this Summer. After care hours will begin at the time your child’s camp ends and extend to no later than 5:00 pm. Any parents more than 15 minutes late to pick up their children will be charged for a day of after care. After 5:00 pm, parents will be charged an addition $1/minute that they are late to compensate for overtime charges to the staff.
After care should be requested at least one day in advance so that staffing changes can occur if needed.
Pricing: $30/day or $130/week

New Lunch Options for Summer Camp!
Tired of packing lunches every day? Let us take care of that for you. Family Concessions will be able to provide a box lunch for your child for an additional $5/day. Your child will receive a sandwich, chips, fruit, granola bar and fruit punch. All orders must be placed two weeks in advance.

Registration Procedure:

  • Call to reserve your child’s place in camp
  • Pay by credit card over the phone or online through PayPal or mail in a check with the completed registration within two weeks of calling
  • Your space is not guaranteed until payment is received
  • Registration forms must be completed and returned to us before your child is fully enrolled in camp
  • Two weeks before camp begins, you will receive a list of camp activities and items to bring to camp
  • If you cancel more than two weeks before camp you will receive an 85% refund
  • No refund will be given to those canceling less than two weeks before the first day of the camp session
