Animals In The Classroom

Even if you can’t bring the classroom to nature, let us bring nature to your classroom!

Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center can bring animals* to see your students. Let them ask questions about wildlife as they get up close with one of our Wildlife Wanderland ambassadors, such as our friendly Woodchuck or the majestic Great Horned Owl.

Your students can see the following at your school (depending on the program you choose):

  • Great Horned Owl
  • Broad-winged Hawk
  • Eastern Screech Owl
  • Barred Owl
  • Barn Owl
  • Corn Snake
  • King Snake
  • Pine Snake
  • Garter Snake
  • Pond Slider Turtles
  • Box Turtles
  • American Toad
  • Bull Frog
  • Green Anole Lizard
  • Tiger Salamander
  • Woodchuck
  • Virginia Opossum

*Some of our animal ambassadors, such as our endangered Red Wolves and our sun-loving Bobcat, must stay in their enclosures in the Wildlife Wanderland.
